Blue School celebrates Fire Safety Week!
It's been a busy week at Blue School. In addition to all of our daily and weekly activities, we've also been learning about Fire Safety. Our student intern, Miss Brooke taught us a lesson on dialing 911 and introduced us to what a fireperson would wear and how they would help us in an emergency. We read books about fire fighters and fire safety and even listened to a few songs. Our class favorite was this one HERE. On Thursday morning, Blue School students participated in the Great Shake Out and practiced what to do in case of a earthquake. Fire Safety week ended with a visit from two of Landaff's firemen and the fire truck! Mr. Cartwright and Mr. Santaw showed us their uniforms, answered all of our questions, taught us to Stop, Drop, and Roll and even let us explore and sit inside the fire truck!
